What a doooooozy of a week. Seriously, I am not usually a complainer, but this week has been absolutely crazy. Just odd (random?) happenings that make me wonder if I'm actually secretly being taped for reality TV or something???? I know I'm not even going to remember every little thing that made me go Hmmmmmmm.....but I'll try:
School started on Monday for Batman, Spiderman, and ME! Batman got dropped off first. He actually did AWESOME being that he is at a new school this year. Walked right in like he owned the place (he gets that from his dad) and it was plain easy peasy. I thought to myself as I was leaving "Aaaaaah, four is the best age!"......Here is Batman on his first day:
So, then it was time to drop Spiderman off. Being that he is two and this is his first time going to school I knew there would be some crying. BUT, he did a few days of summer camp a couple weeks ago and got a lot of crying out then.....so maybe not? Ends up he was really excited. No tears at all, easy peasy. Here is Spiderman on his first day:
I went back home to do some quick chores (Cinderelly Cinderelly night and day its Cinderelly!) and let the dog out. Instead, I spent my time bathing the dog because she decided to roll in opossum poop like she was making a snow angel as soon as I let her out. I picked the boys up at noon and got good reports from their teachers. The afternoon rolls around, and as the Professor walks in from work we high five and I high tail it out the door to MY first day of the semester. Yippy Skippy. On the way I get a phone call.....the caller ID says HOME. Can't be good. I've only been gone 8 minutes. So, I answer and the Professor says to me: "Babe, Batman started melting because he wanted you to serve his dinner and not me. So now Spiderman is melting. They are both in their rooms crying, what do I do?".......OY freakin' VEY. I talk to Batman on the phone and iron it all out with him.....let him know to make sure to remind Daddy to check on those tater-tots I had put in the oven before I left (it was a best-I-could-do kind of dinner day), and to please help to calm your brother down. I also was made to PROMISE that when I did get home I would come into his room and kiss him three times and squeeze him tight. Alrighty, can I get to class now and focus on Statistics? Right.
Fast forward to Tuesday morning - my class *that I just attended the night before* was dropped - I can't get anywhere on the internet, so I end up taking two tired kids at nap time to the college to fix this. TOO BAD they tell me I can wait to speak to a counselor (SURE! CAN YOU WATCH THESE TWO HOODLUMS WHILE I WAIT FOUR HOURS?) because they don't have the power to override this glitch. Great. So I literally tell this gal that I'm surely not waiting here and I'd appreciate if she'd QUICKLY lay out all of my other options. Thanks. Waste of my time, my gas, just whatever! Don't forget I could NOT have called the college because they have their voice message on a loop that no matter which "number" you press just says the same exact thing over and over. Anyhow, I will spare you the details of the rest. It got worked out by Thursday. Oh wait, did I mention that while Batman was at school on this morning I got to clean up poop again? This time from Spiderman and not the dog. But poop is poop. He didn't want to let his poop come out, but realized it was coming anyways.......a little too quickly. And well, ya know. So I had to scrub the toilet, the floor, him, and then the bathtub after scrubbing him (lucky for me the whole incident happened in the bathroom). I swear I should get an award at some point for being the most sanitary and for cleaning poop the proper way. Is there an award for that?
Oh MY Gawd and that brings me to the Cops episode. At some point during this week I saw an episode of cops that made me cry. This lady has her two kids (two boys, my kids ages) and a drunk ass boyfriend who is being crazy. But as the show is progressing I keep asking Brad what in the hell is behind that sheet???? It was so weird. I mean a sheet hanging up and lights behind it. Growing drugs??? He says to me that its the kitchen and that maybe she put a sheet up because her kids sleep on the couch or something and she wants to block the light. He's definitely the optimistic one in our relationship. Well, I'm a mom and I'm thinking "I could never cook and do stuff in my kitchen and NOT be able to see my kids".....too bad those cops pull the sheet away and it was worse than any episode of hoarders you've ever seen behind there. Awful. Sickening. Tears immediately from me. Bugs and just disgustingness everywhere. Piles. So of course they tell her she has 24 hours to clean it up or they take the kids. Either way, it made me sad, sick, want to clean right that minute, and crave the smell of bleach all at once. Ugh.
I realize this is turning into a long and crazy post. Do you think I need a vacation?
I've decided to break this crazy week up so that you have time to get a snack and maybe even a beer for the next round.
The best part is that it is FRIDAY today and we can relax tomorrow! And if there is any poop to clean up tomorrow, well, dammit I'm still gonna be the one to clean it! But at least my partner in crime will be home to give me words of encouragement and give me an idea of what to make for dinner.
Stay tuned for Part Dos.
This is OUR version of life! As chaotic as it can be...love is what keeps us going.

MIA
SORRY. I cannot believe I gave up so quickly. Okay, I didn't give up, but (here come the excuses) I had both kids birthdays/ a class to finish/a husband to entertain while on school break/etc. So.....here I am.
So. I will start off with a recent pic of the cutest kids in the world.....just so you are eager to read what we've been up to. This photo was taken tonight....with cookies and milk before bed......who doesn't put on a baseball cap before bed?????
In the month of June, Batman turned four years old and Spiderman turned two! It was a fun, celebrate-all-month kind of ordeal. I always loved my "birthday week" as a kid so I try to make it special for my boys, too. They had a combined pool party that was awesome. I wondered if it was rude that I had them open their presents at home LATER....after NAPS.....but seriously, neither of them could take much more outdoor pool, cake, fun, or chaos! It was a much more pleasant experience once they were rested. Thank you so so so much to all of you (you know who you are!) who helped with this event. It would not have happened without you and would not have been the same if it did!
The summer w/ The Professor home has been great. We had the said "Birthday Month", then a great 4th of July - which just so happens to be their great grandmother's birthday (80th this year!). A lot of family traveled to be here and it was so nice to have some fun and make some new memories. I love love love when the kids get to see any of their cousins!!!!!!!
Somewhere in there we spent a day at the Museum of Science and History.....The Professor's kind of day, no doubt!
We also squeezed a Sea World trip in with some old neighbors who also just happen to be some of my favorite people in this world. We get year passes to Sea World annually and it is so worth it - we ALWAYS have a blast. We'll be going more often when the weather finally cools off. Because right now....there is no.way.in.hell I'd walk around Sea World. Tourists have at it!
We have went to the beach five bazillion times, of course. We are a beach family - no other way to put it. My kids have white hineys right now and I love it! Both of my kids are able to find shark's teeth on the beach....and I know some adults who have still never found one! I love love love living so close to the beach. I remember being little and growing up in Maryland...it was a two hour drive to the beach. I never want to live that 'far' again! Wait, have you ever found a shark's tooth? Here they are.....and some other fun beach pics:
The big accomplishments since the last Iposted started this blog are: BATMAN learned to write his name LEGIBLY! and SPIDERMAN is completely potty trained - sleeping in undies and all! - at 25 months (just like his big bro!).....so....YEAH! And lastly, Mommy got a ONE HUNDRED PERCENT in her summer class!
Okay, we've had an awesome summer, and this blog is on my "TO DO" list.....I really want to keep up and I want you to WANT me to keep up! FOLLOW ME! SUBSCRIBE! Motivate me to keep this going!

Hi there!
Finally! I have been talking and talking about starting a blog for our family for a while......so, here we go!!!! I thought this would be a fun way to share our life with family and friends, and really, anyone who is interested:)
Being that we live in the era of stalkers, skeezers, and weirdos, I've decided that rather than use our real names, I'm going to give each of us a pseudonym. You can just refer to me as Queen B.
I am currently a stay at home mom of two stinking rotten little boys. Okay, they are also really cute and even sweet sometimes. They are what motivates me in life. I am also a student.....someone should have told me how hard it would be to get your college degree while being a mom/wife/housekeeper/chef/referee/magicalwoundhealer. I did not want to go to college after high school - I jumped right into corporate america, got an apartment, and did things my way. It was great while it lasted, but after having my first child I realized how important a college degree is. Not only for financial reasons - the main point, of course - but also because I wanted to take a completely different career path than the one I was on. After having my first child, I went back to work for 11 months and ended up leaving my job (I had been there for 8 years!) to spend every waking minute with my baby, and to go to school. So that's that. It's hard, I stay up late, I get a lot of headaches, but we're all making it happen.
So our little family of four.....started with just two of us....."The Professor" (a.k.a. Daddy) and myself met at age 16. I am just realizing I've been hanging out with this guy for a long time, huh? Good thing I like him;) We moved into an apartment together after high school (fun times!!!!!), I worked, he went to college (and worked part time), and we were care free, fun, crazy kids! Whoa, those were the days, right? We WERE kids though, so we went through random tough times, learned life lessons, picked up and moved on, etc.....In 2005 we got married and I had the best wedding and honeymoon EVER!!!!! Beautiful memories and so much family that helped to make it happen. It was definitely one of the best days of my life.
On June 6, 2007, I gave birth to Batman. Yep. I had to deliver the day I turned 37 weeks but he was absolutely perfect. Healthy and so sweet. I loved him so much when he was in my belly, but wow, once he was in my arms I was forever changed. When I was pregnant the second time I was SOOOO excited - but would sometimes wonder how in the world could I ever love anyone as much as I love Batman???? But low and behold, when Spiderman was born on June 25, 2009, my heart melted like a popsicle on the 4th of July. This baby boy filled my heart to the brim....I just could not stop snuggling him. When Batman came to the hospital to meet his brother I realized my first "baby" was no longer a baby.....he was talking in sentences and peeing on the potty.....and pushing all the buttons on my hospital bed making it go crazy, opening the fridge in our room and taking everything out. He really could of cared less at the moment that he had a new brother, I mean, all the buttons were way cooler. It wasn't until Spiderman and I came home two days later that it really set in with Batman......this little guy was here for the long haul. They look a lot alike but their personalities differ. They fight over toys, over looking out the window, over sitting next to me.....but I swear, they really do love each other.
And they are my world!
